Hey, welcome.

I'm Caca, and I'm really glad you're here.

I didn't start this blog because I wanted to become a travel blogger.

I started it because I missed writing for myself.

After years of writing for deadlines, clients, and expectations, I wanted a quiet place where words could simply exist without needing to become anything else.

Writing has always been my way of understanding life—one page at a time.

That's how Tale & Treat began.

A small corner of the internet where I collect stories, meaningful places, comforting food, cozy cafés, books, cats, and the little moments that often become our favorite memories.

This isn't only a travel blog.

It's a place for slow travel, honest reviews, personal reflections, and everyday life in Indonesia.

Because I've always believed that the best stories aren't necessarily the biggest ones.

Sometimes they're found in train windows, evening skies, quiet conversations, the smell of fresh bread, or a café that feels like home.

Those are the moments I never want to forget.

To me, every journey has two sides.

A tale—the story behind the experience.

And a treat—something meaningful you can take home, whether it's a helpful tip, a hidden café, a memorable meal, or simply a different way of seeing the world.

🌿 A Little About Me

Long before I became a freelance writer, I was simply someone who loved reading.

Books taught me to imagine.

Diaries taught me to observe.

Travel taught me to slow down.

And life, with all its unexpected turns, taught me that some of the most meaningful stories are the ones we never planned to live.

I've lived in different cities across Indonesia, worked as a freelance writer since 2013, fallen in love with slow travel, and somehow ended up sharing my home with eight wonderful cats.

Some of the best stories in this blog have whiskers.

Every one of those experiences has quietly shaped the person—and the writer—I am today.
